AMAZING!

Don't think I have sat at lunch with the headphones on and watched a whole 15mins uninterrupted without skipping about since, erm, I can't remember.

More of this please.

Really enjoyed that - great stuff.

Would love to see some more photos of the cars, though...?
Especially that Quattro <yikes>

Another very good piece from Mr Harris. This is proper video journalism. Good information about the cars, well shot. No stupid ops your trousers just fell down (again) oh we are so impromptu are we not humour.

I really do hope someone at Dave spots Chris and teams him up with other people of a similar ilk and lets them do a real car show. The BBC2 and Channel 5 lot would be dead and buried pretty quickly.

I love cars, I love hearing people who love cars talking about them.

Finally, to all those who complain about Chris and his road tests, if you dont like him or his style please dont watch. I take it none of you have ever had fun in a car on the open road?

Have a look at the last corner acceleration on Mr Schanche's RS200 that was believed to be around 800-1000hp mark.

It would make a great car show, but never underestimate the number of people who want to see people's trousers falling down, scripted 'humour' and caravans catching fire.

Holy hell - I LOVE these cars.
Looking forward to watching the video when I've got more time to appreciate it. Sounds great.

Not wanting to 'over hype' the situation at all, but I think these videos could well be the turning point where watching car content on a computer is a genuine alternative to watching it on 'normal' TV.

I mean, 'actually getting a cup of tea and settling down to watch it' kind of thing as opposed to watching a quick clip whilst surfng the net.

Keep up the good work.

Thank the Lord! After years of Top Gear and 5th Gear getting less and less about cars and more and more general entertainment. Mr Harris gives us a real Petolhead Feast. Thank you - it's been a long wait!

Great video, and great reporting, Chris is a fantastic addition to PH. I'm afraid to say that I had not heard of Chris prior to his joining PH (sorry), I understand he came from EVO magazine, where else did he (or 'did you' if you are reading Chris) write for previously?

Thanks

You can't say "I know someone who has a BX 4TC" and then not do a feature on it!! Get to work, man!

PS Haven't watched the vid yet but I'm bloody excited, given the reception it's had...

I think you'd be dissappointed with the outcome on just about any stage these days. The Evos and Imprezas of the late 90s were vastly superior in terms of suspension, brake and tyre design, and not much less powerful.
No I mean proper group B supercars not the ones we are seeing at local rallys.

Remember group b is still banned so the cars you will have seem will have around 300bhp.

The monsters had 550+ in group B trip.

Yes modern cars have better everything but the power of the group B cars on a fast stage would make it close.

Modern 550bhp WRC car would be even better.

I think you will find we are refering to "proper" group B cars, they are no match for a WRC car. Group B were much quicker than early Grp A cars but towards the end of the Grp A era you have the likes of the GpA lancer & 555 Subaru which were quicker than the Group B era cars.

It only took 18 months from the end of Group B before the Group A cars started beating the previous best Group B stage times (Tour de Corse 1988). Most of those Group A cars didn't even manage 300bhp at that time.

Who is this bloke?

Clearly not a motoring journo, can't do a three point turn (turning the wheel while stationary- PLEASE!), can't drift despite trying several times (even in a RS200 on a private road) and the Quattro is "in his top 10" yet he wrote less than 2 sentances about what its like to drive....

Brilliant cars and a pleasure to see them but what was the report and video all about? Was like Top Gear from the 80's with Quinten Wilson doing the review.

A take it he's the same showoff who rode in the F1 without a seatbelt and nearly p*ssed himself?

Hopefully PH let him review a door knob next week.
Can this character be banned from future CH video reaction threads please.

What an utter load of toilet.

This is about two fantastic cars that need celebrating, not your personal vendettas. Ta
