How can you put pictures up of an RS1600i & not post a picture of the seats?!
To this day they are best I have ever sat in. Never seen them fitted to another car either.
Lovely car and fantastic seats, this is one of the cars I should have bought back in my youth, along with a Fiesta Supersport, but come on 26k is really taking the pissTo this day they are best I have ever sat in. Never seen them fitted to another car either.
Love to own one as a 2nd car but 26k as mentioned is too expensive. I personally would prefer a MK1 Escort RS Turbo in mint condition. There was always something retro cool about the turbo in the ways its power was delivered. Just love old Ford cars but whether owning one is as good as the reality.

I take offence to that Southend jibe! True though the stereotype may (unfortunately) be...
I'm from Essex and have owned a string of Fords (is four a string? I suppose it is), so I'm (probably) allowed to be Essex-ist .Heck the old man even owned (briefly) a G-reg XR2...

It's nice, but silly money. Such a blatant 'collectors' item' for the sake of being a collectors' item, rather than it actually having any interesting provinence in the same was as an RS500, or even an Escort Cosworth.
As for the service history, I'd be worried that it hasn't been touched by a mechanic for, what, 23 years? Despite the mileage.
I thought that but I guess they just mean it has been serviced but hasn't yet had the book stamped as that would happen at the correct mileage, I assume they have invoices for services! As for the service history, I'd be worried that it hasn't been touched by a mechanic for, what, 23 years? Despite the mileage.
If money was no object and i could have a private car collection then i would buy it as i used to spend a lot of time with RS Ford's. Whoever does buy it will not able to use it because as soon as it start's getting mileage on it then it will be just the same as all the other good RS1600i out there. So for the rest of it's life it will have to stay a collector's car and on display. So for this reason it will alway's sound expensive.
