Another case of people selling cars at a price they pluck from the air...

Mind you it is a 22B, which is quite good biggrin

A highly speculative price. Id want to spend a lot of time researching number 388 before buying it at any reasonable price, too...

Just an example, does seem slightly dodgy from research, an apparent previous owner didn't ever see 14,000 miles in it, yet the ad states 1 previous owner.

I would probably look at this one http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3578935.htm personally if I were in the market for one. Although for that money it would be this beauty.

Fair enough I wasn't looking to submit anyone!
I think the best comparison is the type 20...37,995...spec list blows it into the water..plus it's based on the 2 litre jdm twin scroll which is far better

The 2010 Type-20 will have the following specification:

2010 JDM Subaru Impreza STI
410 PS @ 7,500 Rpm / 375lbft @ 3,500rpm
2.0 Litre EJ207 Engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing
New Type-20 Twinscroll turbo with Zircotec ceramic coating
Type-20 Turbo heat shield
Litchfield cold air induction system with high flow filter
Litchfield reprogrammed ECU with enhanced Economy mode
Milltek 3" Exhaust system with 100 cell Hi-Flow Sports Catalytic converter (saves 20kg).
Japanese STI quicker 13.1 Steering Rack
Revised chassis bushes and up rated anti roll bar
Increased Castor angle and wheel base
Re-valved power steering system with increased feel and weight
AST 12-Way adjustable suspension allowing lower ride height (-35mm over standard)
STI front lip spoiler
Litchfield front strut brace
18x8.5 Lightweight Rota alloy wheels
High performance 245/40/18 Dunlop SP600 tyres
365mm Alcon Brake kit
Red Maserati style tail light option
Price: £37,995 OTR
But that will be the 5 door hatch though.

Oh dear, here we go again...

Blah blah you could buy a secondhand Euro Fighter for that money instead...

Blah Blah they've all got chocolate pistons

Blah blah the classic Impreza is THE ONLY Impreza

Blah Blah it looks ugly...

Blah Blah Subaru have lost it...

I own one and can tell you all the above are untrue (inc. the chocolate pistons if you have it mapped properly). I've owned an RB5, Bugeye STI, Blobeye STi, Hawkeye STI and the current STI. The current STI is as good as any of them after a few performance modifications...

In your unbiased opinion... wink

I don't think its a bad car, its just not what Subarus are meant to be for me, too fancy.

Theres two Subarus I want, either a bugeye STI or a McRae edition. cloud9

Shades of the RB5 live on?

RB5 for 10% of the price of the TA340C, I'm guessing the RB5 is more than 10% of the fun?
