are there any tips/secrets to running multiples cars on minimal money?
Don't keep buying and selling them. Buy the car you like/want and keep it, you don't suffer depreciation until you sell it, so don't sell it.

I have suffered 0% depreciation in 10 years.

Or alternatively buy and sell frequently but buy well enough that you get your money back or make a small profit.

I've had hundreds of cars and only lost money on 3 and have made money on most.

I have two cars, I used to have 3, but got rid of one!

I own a 2004 Fiat punto, takes me the 31 miles to work, followed by the 31 miles home.

I also own a 1983 mk1 golf for the summer - but he's under a car cover with a blown head gasket and no tax or MOT...

I'm a student so could do fine with the diesel Corsa I am running, in reality I suppose I don't really need a 96 740i that I can't get insured on yet and I don't really need to be considering a Pulsar VZR as a weekend car

I reckon the obvious question is instead "What's the mean number of cars owned by PHers?"

I have two cars: diesel Fiesta company car, and a Gamma Berlina for the fun stuff.

I have 3 cars and my work van, technically, I could just use the work van 24/7, (family business) so don't need a car. I would be a lot better off if I didn't have a car too. Taxed, MOT'd and insured my Mini last summer just to do a whopping 30 miles in it.

Have only done 3K in my 996 in 5 1/2 years so you could say probably I don't need that.

2 at the moment, Mondeo ST tdci daily, Volvo 850 T-5R that I was pretty shocked to see how few miles it's done since I bought it when I found the first service receipt after I bought it.

Ideal is probably a van for biking events semi converted to a stealth camper and a disposable banger that changes with my mood/the seasons.

Most likely the Mondeo will be replaced by a van and I'll find another reason why the Volvo should stay and a diesel/small fun petrol shed joins the fleet - 306 gti-6 is close to diesel economy right?!?!?!
And exactly as predicted Mondeo swapped for a van, Transit crew cab, and a Celica - just the ST so should be reasonable on fuel. Van was the one I wanted and pretty much perfect (I hope) for biking events but the Celica just happened to be in the dealers who offered me the best cash for the Mondeo!

First time ever I'm up to 3 vehicles :-) will see if i regret it when I pick them up on Monday....

2 x 4.0 litre petrol cars and a 50cc Vespa.

Only the Vespa gets used daily but I definitely need the M3 and I'm finding it hard to part with the Jeep.

The OH rarely uses her car at all these days as she has to pay to park at work and can walk there anyway.

However it is very useful this week as my car is on ramps pending the removal and replacement of a lambda sensor which has thus far defeated a £1.99 chinese made biscuit-metal ratchet and now awaits a 600mm breaker bar tomorrow morning.
