This was going to be my input.

Do they still do the Auto Jumble there?

Museum of Transport, Glasgow.

Brooklands Museum, and the adjacent Mercedes-Benz World has a few classics on show.

I can certainly vouch for that! It is free, but they flog you a guide for a fiver. It's a bit of a guilt trip they play on you.

Having said that, the guide is high quality, and reveals just how much is there. I'd have missed out on a lot if it wasn't for that.

I was there last year. Wouldn't recommend this to any "proper" petrol head. It's just a bunch of tasteless modified cars and replicas...

The best in my opinion (even if not free). In comparison I was disappointed with Beaulieu

yes Fantastic museum that's huge and has a good range of cars, not to mention trains, motor bikes, service vehicles, bicycles, period toy shops.....you get the idea. Highlight for me was Colin McRae's impreza, though I think my dad was a little worried by some of the exhibits he remembered from his childhood, he turned to me and only half jokingly said, "Oh god, I've become a museum piece."
