Good chance you would because you'd be to busy driving F1 cars, 458's, or a Maser! wink

While at Renault Fernando dropped his V6 back at the factory and requested a 1.6i Megane instead as the Clio was a bit too flashy.

I'd imagine this Jeep's probably not going to hit big mileage

Imagine that day...

You're told that today, the team is giving you your company car for the new season. You're excited, and even more so when you see the snow - only one thing flashes into your mind "holy st, they're giving us each an FF..." and then, then the garage door opens and you fall to your knees (out of camera shot) screaming "nooooooooooooooooooo..."

This thread reminds me of an interesting bit of trivia:
The Dodge Viper was created with the help of Lamborghini, who at the time were owned by Chrysler.
Wonder how Ferrari are feeling about that. Would the next Viper's platform be shared with futer Fezza's and Mazza's?

They've already sold a bunch of Ferrari badged Fiat 500s for £30k, so can we expect a £100k Jeep-by-Ferrari special edition by the end of the year?
To be fair they also had flippy paddle gear boxes, and a bigger turbo allowing 180bhp over the Abarth SS's maximum of 160bhp so it was a bit more than a different badge and paint job. I'll be honest though the price tag was dissapointing but I think they only did 695 of each colour.
The Abarth SS would make 180hp too, it used a silly overboost function so it only had that power for 30 seconds or so. I think the flappy paddle box was optional too.

Still not worth double the normal price.

Could this be partially in response to Ford's ludicrous copyright claim over the F150 name?

Why is it any more ludicrous than a combination of letters? To most people an F150 is synonymous with Ford.

These are brilliant cars. I moved to Dubai a year ago and purely by chance I had a test drive in a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7litre HEMI engine, Dual Manual/Auto transmission and every time I drive it brings a big smile to my face. It is in Natural Green with light cream leather and all my pals here cannot believe its performance and bang for buck. It cost the equivalent of GBP28,000 and is better equipped and quicker than German, Jap and British competition with a superb comfortable drive. The SRT8'S are even faster, sports suspension and more power. Why are so many people passing judgement on a car they have never driven. It is quite amazing the amount of armchair experts and critics that exist back in the UK who feel it is their right to pass judgement on cars they know nothing about. I used to have a Chimaera 500 which I spent moderate amounts on to keep it reliable and in good condition. Never had a problem with it over 30000 miles and 7 years of ownership but the first question that often came up in social situations or a garage forecourt was "Aargh I bet that costs a bomb to run" and "Yeah, but its a plastic car that will always let you down". Completer nonsense which I loved to throw back at them. The look on their faces when I said it was absolutely brilliant and never let me down once was worth its weight in gold. By the way the Jeep has been ultra reliable and I have taken it off into tough desert dunes quite a lot. When you have had "real-time experience over a reasonable period" I will be happy to listen to these critics in the meantime ...GET A LIFE !!

Ah sorry I mean ludicrous as in the F150 is synonymous with Ford's truck and therefore to claim that Ferrari can't use the name as it's still in the auto-mobile vicinity was a bit daft from Ford IMO.

+1 but with paragraphs inserted to make it readable. wink

These also use the same rheo-magnetic dampers used by Ferrari and invented in America.

Awful heaps of junk.

More product placement crap from brand Ferrari - how long i wonder before copies of these things get 'sold' via Jeep or Ferrari dealers?

Truly terrible things to be lumbered with.

Have driven one of the last generation and it was a blast. Look forward to the chance to drive one of these. With the exception of the ferrari "touches" it looks great.

I'd certainly have more use for them than a Ferrari.
I agree, they look fab to me and as was said much more usable than any Ferrari!
