Glad you cleared that up, too many wanna be columbos making assumptions and spreading rumors that are simply not true they really should mind their own business and get on with their own lives
Oh do shut up you sanctimonious self righteous prick. I just made an observation and quickly checked into the sellers ebay history and made a decision not to have a punt based on that.

Talk about kicking a bloke while he's down, I would say that his description is honest for the car, its not like he is saying the car is mint condition, he's pointed out the faults with the car.

I hope you find a job mate I know the feeling as I'm in the same boat.

I would like to see some of those imbeciles who have slated the poor bloke see what its like, to loose your job and survive on nothing, the poor bloke most probably has a mortgage to pay and kids to feed.

You made an observation that was fundamentally wrong, you implied the advertiser was a liar based on your ignorant observation's. the advertiser has now come along and explained how you were wrong to call a liar and your now on hear telling people they are pricks and to shut up? laugh please step away from the computer and sit down before you give your self a heart attack. laugh

mk4vf2011, what's your line of work/industry?

The least we could do between us now, is help as opposed to leave the lasting impression of us being nasty bds.

Not even remotely mad. You might want to re read exactly what I wrote as it seems you only read what you wanted to and came up with something else entirely.

its not technically bad, but when you see you have loads of watchers it gives you the impression there is a lot of interest so you should get a good price for it,Basically their aim was to get his hopes up while hoping it goes for penny's

Technically, it's not necessarily bad. It's the way it was done though, and the comments that arose.

Just no need.

If you're having a stty day don't go trying to take it out on me by acusing me of being something I'm not. I didn't watch the item just commented that he may be telling a porkie or two as it's not unheard of on ebay etc. I took the approach of quickly perusing his feedback which pointed out the car was purchased on ebay July last year and he's bought some items for it that would rule it out for me to buy.

oh wait you detective skills fail this is more appropriate

MK4vf2011 have you thought about making it decent and then selling it?
By spending a few quid and selling it as a nice car that doesnt need any work will attract more buyers and you will get a decent price for it.
Theres someone I use on York road ind estate, cheap and does a good job.
Of course I understand it may be money you dont have but at the moment it comes across as tatty and neglected to me, so its only attracting buyers with about £500 as thats all its worth.

Cheers mate I will take a look at www.indeed.
Its so bad here for work that all they had down the job centre today was a job for a paper boy for 4 hours a day, I wouldn't mind but I'm being serious lol.
Also the criteria was you had to use your own car for the rural rounds and use your own petrol plus have business insurance on your car.
It worked out that I would have been paying someone to do a paper round lol.
I wish you all the best mate and hope you have some good luck soon.

TBH £550 is about the price of a 1999 Astra.

You could spend £200 on the car - which i doubt the O/P has to spare - and maybe not even get that back.

Personally, i think its a fair price for a reasonable enough looking car.

I havent got the money to be spending on it, it aint worth it if am selling it, what im selling it for is less than what i paid for the car a month ago.
