Can I just point out that reasons for selling can sometimes be pure fabrication to cover up other things. Unless someone on here actually knows the bloke then who's to say he's unemployed?

Just a distasteful thread really.
Not really any different to the people who put a slice of toast that looks like jesus up on eBay because they are short of cash. Then a radio station picks up on it and all of a sudden the peice of toast has a million watchers.

Distasteful is fake bidding, sending the seller emails commenting on his shed...etc NOT pressing the 'Watch item' button just because the seller was idiotic enough to make a comment about not watching his item unless you had the money to do so.

In these paranoid Internet times, there are some genuine people out there. He comes across well in the advert, apart from the last line.

Like I've already mentioned though, maybe he's been messed about in the past (the ten or less feedback comment kind of backs this up).

So you take everything written in an advert as gospel then?

Did someone in the past watch his item.....and then, god forbid, not bid on it?

He must be spazzing out right now with the 600 watchers who didn't bid.

Try to put yourself in his shoes....he's lost his job he's so skint he has to sell a low value car for something even cheaper. He sees lots of watchers and that makes him think he's going to get a good price for it. Transpires of course it's just a mob of cretins who think it's hilarious to watch an auction that they have no interest in rolleyes

Mercifully I have no experience of things being so tight that a few hundred quid would make all the difference, and that must be a pretty stty place to be. Well done you for taking the piss...very clever.

It's not a POS to everyone. Some are snobby s who like to look down on everyone else. I've only just upgraded to a Mk4 Astra as before they were well out of my financial reach as I refuse to get credit or a loan for a car.
It's not due a cam belt 18k after it's been fitted, not by a long way.

I suspect he meant to put don't BID if you don't want to buy but is probably fed of people messing him around.
I know I've bitten but I think this isn't very funny and I hope I'm never in his position. I realise it could be made up, but why bother? Who buys a car out of sympathy?!

No, I'm a bitter, twisted, nasty, cynical know-it-all who doesn't believe a word anyone says.

What I like about "10 Feedback or less" is that all you have to do is buy 5 split pins and 5 packs of batteries and you're in the club for under £20.

Hello everyone i am the owner of this famous astra, i would like to say i put the last sentence on my listing as i am sick of been messed about from timewasters, it costs £18.49 to advertise on ebay with a reserve. I arent out to con anyone, ive recently been laid off from work and cant afford my insurance monthly payments now on job seekers allowance...thats why im in need of a cheaper car.

I think this thread is deeply unfair and was unaware of it until user cragswinter notified me of it via ebay mail. All im trying to do is sell my car...whats the crime in that? im sure if any of you taking the piss where in my shoes, you wouldnt like the situation you would be in.

Thank you to the people who are been reasonable on this thread, means alot!
