Pandas seemed to be the best value new in 2005/6, my multijet was discounted to about 6500 brand new back then. Cracking deal, and that was with a generous p/ex allowance on a 52 reg Laguna as well.

They were pretty good value just before I went to buy one last year laugh - prices went up about £6-700 by the time I actually went to do so laugh

I think the best time to buy these was a couple of years ago when they could be had for £5000 - £5500 for the old 1.1 version if memory serves correctly. Can't see them getting quite that cheap again even if there is a new model due out.
From my link above:
Fiat Panda 1.1 Active eco 60 REG white

List £7,960.00

Discount £2665.00

OTR £5,395.00

So they are still that cheap - if you don't mind taking the spec an colour on offer. Bloody good price for a brand new car in my opinion.
The ones I refer to would have been brand new at the time. 60-plate implies it could be coming up to 18 months old, so I don't think that is the same.

Only £300 more than a pre-reg for a spanking 1.2...

I know what you mean about "back then" - when I last looked, about 9 months ago, Pandas didnt seem such good value now as they did then. Codnt find a new MJ for what I would have called sensible money, so my dad bought a Nissan Note instead. He would have bought a new Panda, but they just didnt seem as good value as they did five or six years ago.
