Surely they are faster laying down, as you'd have the seats reclined?

Ha ha, this.

I've found the total opposite. Both in ease-to-drive and speed

It's not that the overtaking car is faster. Just that the guy laying down is boring.

????

Personally I'd find the person that could be bothered to take the video and go to the effort of uploading it to YouTube would fall into that category. confused
I had a 10 year break in between my passenger videoing it and me uploading it this evening.
Ten years ago you say, but didn't they only start selling the Corrolla that passes you at the start of the video in some time in 2002?

Also were mobile phone cameras that good ten years ago?

2012 - 2002 = 10 years

Your point?

transit's are nicer to drive than exiges!
I've never driven an exige, but I love my transit. I can tailgate with the best of them, but I can only overtake the broken Loti!

yes
It's about getting the centre of gravity lower. Improves cornering ten-fold.

Not like it isn't obvious. Some people prioritise being a pedant above answering the obvious question.

This is PH. Pedantry matters. Obviously.

In my experience cars where the steering wheel is at a good height and you have good visibility and the peddals are down rather than forward tend to be easier to drive?
I agree that there are a lot of pedantic mofos on here but this isn't as obvious as you're making out ejenner. I read your post before going to bed last night and it still doesn't make sense to me this morning.

You start out by making a statement that, "In my experience....." and then end it with a question.

I don't know what's more worrying, this post or the subsequent responses about Ford Transits laugh

Read the thread about Saab 9000 vs Rover 75's and all will become clear (or not as the case may be laugh)

I'm the opposite - don't like having the pedals more than a couple of inches below the level of the seat cushion.

Lay down? So you're driving a BEDmobile, surely?
Are you also wearing a mask and leather suit?

..ok, that'd sound rather fetish!
