What do the gathered Alpina beards make of this;

From a purely asthetical pov, that is my ideal B10 right there, comfort seats an'all.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170791687514?ssPageName=...
It's a good price, my old one - #125 ALPINA Blue, black buffalo hide with rhombs - recently sold for around the same price and it's a '97 car with 125k...
The photos on there show the bootlid without spoiler and with two different configurations of rear badging, so I suspect it's just been debadged and that spoiler fitted in the last couple of years. Nice spec; grey works OK inside as long as it's balanced by black.
ETA: it was actually discussed on the £5-20k barge thread on here about a year ago, up for £6,500 on eBay. And, fluffnik, you said exactly the same thing about the boot Nice to see consistency! Clicky for the old thread (I hope).

A bounce for the weekend patrons:
Threadistas, Bargeistas, ranters and lurkers: please be invited to ein feiner Abend der frivolen Sozialisierung.
Yes, it's time to leave the keyboard again and enjoy the sights of London's Mayfair for The Thread Night Out. A stone's throw from Bond Strasse and Berkeley Platz, we'd very much like to make your acquaintance at the Coach & Horses in Hill Street from 5.30pm on Thursday 8th March. (Probably equidistant from Green Park and Bond Street tube)
Please don't feel that being a noisy contributor is in any way a pre-requisite to attending; even if you just quietly follow the triumvirate of Barge-threads you'll be made very welcome in 'real life'.
Stick your name down so we know who to look out for:
1. V8mate
2. Loon
3. sleep envy (tentative, as I may have a client function that evening)
4. Flangio
5. louiebaby
6. Crook
7. justayellowbadge (pencillified)
8. LHD (If i can get out of the aformentioned do early enough)
9. Vixpy1
10. wackojacko (provisional)
11. CharlesdeGaulle
12. Rocksteadyeddie

I'm not a fan of the grey leather and I reckon it's had a new bootlid - wrong spoiler, missing badges - but that need not be a problem since there are sometimes corrosion problems due to the mounting of the correct spoiler.

It's the wrong ALPINA script when it has it, it should be skinny chrome like the (misplaced) B10 V8.Should be like this:
I'm not a fan of grey leather at all, though the black does help.

I thought it looked a bit wrong, but your example shows exactly how far out it was. Would all B10 V8 saloons have had the Alpina rear spoiler? I rather like the one on it now, or none at all. Almost tempted to make a bid.Jobbo said:

Almost tempted to make a bid.The V8s got a lip spoiler which a few cars have had retro-fitted, including the one in my pic(!), and it's just possible some later V8 or 3.3 cars may have had them from new.
They're great cars and it's a good price, you know you want to...
