Evening beans.

Great day at VMax Starfire (if bloody cold).

Found out that the 530d Touring, with bike rack on the back, drifts really rather well.

Good evening gentlefolk. Spent a most enjoyable weekend riding at Afan and Cwmcarn this weekend. A short wheelbase transporter swallowed 6 of us with bikes, paraphernalia and man bags most comfortably. I was shocked it took everything so easily without requiring the roof or towbar racks. Anyway, I can highly recommend the region to fellow bikists - we stayed at the Bluebell hotel, food and rooms were excellent quality for the price (and region - Neath and Port Talbot leave a lot to be desired).

With all this lovely weather it's time to re-assemble the Caterham and get on it!

fking bloody sodding bd London!!! Why cant this city work properly?

Train delayed for 30mins outside of Euston for some reason. Then get to Bank and the DLR to City is fooked. DLR to Canning Town then a bus to City. Get there and Im 2 mins late for last check in. Great.

So its £60 in the Travelodge and there is some Godawful crap on the tv in the bar, something about some Khardashions? Who the juddering monkey fk are these morons? Is this some kind of skit of The Osbournes?

And since when does £60 of Traveldge not include a breakfast???????

Was surprising how quick it was for a 150k 178bhp diesel...with such a heavy 20mph headwind and a bike rack on the back, 128mph was a fair effort.

3 times. Each time the same.

And drifting was laughably easy. Tip in on the brakes, wait for the mudguards to ground out, and then let the wheel go, and hold it there on the stops.

Good to meet you today!
I was half expecting a phone call.

I've just got back to Edinburgh with the new cat.

I did also manage to see most of Surrey this afternoon with William in the back of the Jaaaaaaag as i got a bit lost trying to be clever and cut through Guildford on the way back to Chazzers in Camberley.

Good to see everyone today.

Oh, and Bolton - Top effort. thumbup

Drove past that on the forecourt a few weeks back if it's the car I'm thinking of. Was up for £1950 iirc.

Gaz, thats a great list there. Cheers! I've considered or at least viewed ads for a few of those. ITR was an original thought along with the obvious E36M and Box/S. Think I'm now veering towards not spending so much (i.e good Box money) - sure a lot of fun can be had for not much £ - although tying it up in a car has been a way of not spending it in the past!

That said, there are a few tasty looking Boxsters on PH at around £5k including the green S posted here previously. M3 presents an insurance issue - would 'only' be an extra £200 on my current policy although that would equate to roughly £200/month as I don't know what next years premium will be, don't want to be lumped with a £2k bill in 3 months time! Similar story with 944 although I haven't done a proper quote yet. The others - GTV, ITR 200SX are nice but perhaps I'd be better off spending nearer £1k and taking a risk on some nikasil 328i for similar performance?

Back in bargain basement territory, thoughts taking me back to some sort of cheap Clio 172, Alfa GTV/Spider:

Good to see the usual suspects. Can't think why, but everyone I met had a huge smile or was laughing hysterically. What a happy bunch.

I'm less happy this morning now my face is the same colour as your trousers. Sunshine is a double edged sword it seems.

Good to catch up with the usual suspects and a few newbies. More newbies would have been even better, 'course.
