Indeed, if it hadn't been for the 'box I would have posted it earlier. Undecided on the interior, not for the faint of heart.

Dubious colour scheme but sub 5-bags for this much real estate?

I'm struggling to comprehend how those 7 series can be so cheap!

10 year old car, sub 20mpg, £600+ for new tyres alone & potential for big bills should anything go wrong.

I can see why.

That said, I managed to run a modern V8 barge for a few months recently and didn't break the bank entirely.

Dear God man you asking if anyone has first hand experiance of a Z8? When was the last time you had even seen one? I honestly cannot tell you to the nearest decade when I last saw a Z8.
Saw one at BMW Bradford a few years ago, Mrs E24man was particularly taken with it even against her then toy of a Griffith 500. There were just over 5,700 made so against E34 M5 Tourings (891), Alpina B10 BiTurbo's (507), rhd E34 M5's (over 1000 if you include SA) there should be one or two about.

The fact that they are generally quite scarce/rare does bring me back to my original point that they generally aren't being used and a collective De-Beers complex is going on.

So tonight I had a very nice mini-Stag and decided to walk home from Piccadilly to Battersea in the snow. Quite bracing, but some beautiful scenery:

Now feeling gently sozzled and a bit damp.

Von Klinkerhoffen, just cast your mind back as I’m pretty sure I bumped into you at 4 Star just after the dreaded Lister got dumped with them?

At the time the above mentioned Alp’ appeared to have failed its potty training class on all counts, there was car wee wee all over the floor.

Now perhaps a new set of matching branded tires may have soothed the B12’s nerves a bit but even the Lister could just about hold its own bladder.

Just.
Monsieur LeClerc

You are, of course, absolutely correct. But it would be a wonderful way to go.

So, tub the rear arches a bit, stick a decent rear axle and rubber on the back and ... what would fit nicely under that bonnet?

scratchchin

I'd suggest it'll have to be a four-pot.

Two litre Cossie? Red top VX? Whaddayareckon?
Would have to keep a six surely, 330i lump?
I reckon BMW missed a trick with the whole Rover saga. If the Triumph name had been reborn a Vitesse / 2500 /GT6 range could have been a winner. Could have been parts bin specials with previous gen 3 series running gear pitched slightly down market of Bavaria's own.
