Ok, sister dumps her boyfriend about 6 months ago, things not working out between them. I gather it wasn't an easy break up, him being slightly abusive towards her in the process. He seemed to have gone on his way until one day recently my sister had him driving his car swerving behind her flashing lights, almost trying to push her off the road (more than likely drink driving). This prompting her friend to have a word with him over the phone, and him retaliating by getting nasty; a drunken walk home from the local pub, bricking her car's windows and smashing off wing mirrors etc.

This guy is a pleb. He seems to think he is a big man after a few drinks (which is most nights). Police were informed and without evidence, there is obviously nothing they can do... She hasn't confronted him after the event what so ever, but she is worrying every day that this behavior could carry on and me being her big bro am wanting to help her out.

Whats the answer? confront him? confront him at work (works at a bank)? kill his car?

I'm sure PH will have the right answer. Over to you. idea

Obvious thing is you need to have proof it was him that done the damage. If he's likely to do it again, is there any way you could set up some sort of camera to cover the car when it's parked up so you know for definite?

I now this might be an emotive question - but it is easy to jump to a conclusion and make a judgement if there is a current 'issue'...but, how do you know it was him who did the damage to the car?

Do you know it was definitely him, or are you assuming it 'had' to be him?

I had a similar thing happen to me 13 yes ago my girlfriend ex didn't like the fact that we were together,I'd purchased a brand new s reg punto sporting within a couple of weeks of owning it "he" had smashed both wing mirrors off keyed the passengers side all over(which I got repaired) and to finish it off woke up one morning to find acid all over the paint work he even boasted on his ex phone what he had done so we went to police but they couldn't care less the car was just a car but that last thing was he and a few mates but me in hospital twice within 6 months gave me a good kicking.its a tricky one police don't want to know but I guess as soon as YOU confront the ex the police will be all over you like a rash but there's comes a point when enoughs enough

Yes you are right there is no definite proof it is. But on the same night he had been tagged in pics on Facebook in the local (his walk home is past her house) and the following morning all tagged pictures removed. Coincidence?

She has no other issues with anyone else. Its a tough one.

Personally, I would kidnap the bd, tie him up, beat him till he has a few broken bones, before giving him a black eye (this bit happened to someone last week). And if he tries it again with my sister, I'd repeat the process till he learns his lesson. Job Done. That fella who tried mess with my sister has been nowhere to be seen since last week.rofl

OP, this is your little sister. Satisfy yourself that this guy is the culprit, and bearing in mind the guy knows his ex has a big bro (you) and has massively taken the p*ss knowing this, I would definitely pop over his place and dish out some justice - down to you if this is purely verbal or physical. I'd almost take it for granted he's expecting you, the cheeky git.

Riiiighto. And that's what you'd do, is it??

In our 'summary justice / Mad-Max world of eye-for-an-eye revenge', we all dream of lawlessly dishing out violent justice to those who court it, with zero comeback or consequences, because the original perp 'took it for granted he was expecting a visit.'

However in the real world of 'where there's blame there's a claim' lawyers and young police officers who would go to the ends of the earth to secure a 'result' and a conviction, I am afraid your post is a little bit quaint and outmoded!

Nice sentiment though, I have to agree biggrin be nice if it was that simple, sometimes!

Yep. Walk on, or be walked upon.
And if you read my post properly, you'll see I suggested it would be down to the OP to decide if any justice delivered would be verbal or physical.

Does your sister live on her own? Better pack your bags if you're that worried.

Oh and if she does then set up a cam to catch all the excitement when the idiot pops round.

Catch him on the way home from the pub, you and a couple of friends put the hoods up and give him a hiding. Or set up a camera and report it.

What an absolutely brilliant idea!! Why don't you also set fire to his dog or punch his granny in the face, that'll learn him.

Back to the real world for a second, unfortunately OP, without proof you can do nothing, the police will not be interested, not because it's just a car, but without witnesses or proof, there is nothing they can do.

You could listen to some of the internet hard core vigilantes on here, but I would strongly suggest that if you approached this odious idiot and duffed him up (especially if you go mob handed FFS!!), then you would be the one facing the beak and a possible jail sentence.

You have to wonder why women go for psychotic w**kers like this, it's usually the very thing they hate about them is exactly what attracted them in the first place.

I'd take it to his workplace and do it calmly but loudly. Calmly being the operative word, because you don't want security kicking your a**.
