Who cares about the extra 1/3 fuel economy as you drive from the show room you've lost 10k, and continue to do so every year for the next several year? But hey, that extra £30 saving at the pumps really made a difference
Well it's not just consumption but range, people who actually own them (I.e. Not you) often day the range can be bordering ridiculously low. It's not just about saving money, more going further without filling up. E38Ross said:

To be fair, it would have been much cheaper to install a bigger fuel tank than develop a whole new engine. kambites said:

Top he fair, the old engine wouldn't pass new emission regulations so they didn't have much choice. Fortunately, they've done both this time. At least to the m5 anyway
I suspect the turbocharged engine will suit the character of the car better anyway, really. It always struct me that the high-revving nature of the V10 was a bit odd in a big heavy cruiser like the six-series (not that I've driven an M6). J4CKO said:

Isn't it the wrong badge to be mixing it in 100 grand company, not much more you are into Bentley, Aston and Lambo territory ?
And yet it'll be every good as a db9, for less money and more performance. kambites said:
