Yeah, that was a stupid thing to say. Every year engines get cleaner, more efficient, more powerful.

I (rather sadly, it has to be said) have been looking for an article on this for ages. I glanced at it a few years ago on the internet and haven't been able to find it since. Can anyone help? Kind of the next stage on the VVC trail.

This does look interesting though, only a matter of time until it is on cars we all can drive.

The possibilties are just endless.
They have. We have a Lotus single cylinder glass engine here and the guy from lotus uses it to investigate combustion/flame propagation etc while using the electrically actuated valves. No cams. Its an amazing bit of kit to watch.
