I thought this engine is the same ol' lump in the e92 335i? does appear so from the write up.

between a 335i and an M3, how many of you would honestly say you would have the 335i? I think only the people who are insecure with their self image would.
Explain.

Wouldn't pay £50k for a 335i simply because adding £12k of options to a £37k car is financial suicide from day one. A £50k car with no options will always represent far better value.

I think BMW have totally lost it in the looks department. Yes I know they need to be pedestrian friendly, but come on. The new 1 Series is seriously ugly, makes the old one quite a beauty..

Audi have some nice looking cars, although it is becoming hard to tell them apart, as they all look the same..

Looks ok to me, it doesn't look great but sounds like a good all round car.

People forever slate any car in these threads!

Out of interest, what is the model code for this car (E30,E46 etc)
New 3er saloon is coded the F30 while the Touring is coded F31. Therefore, it must be safe to assume that the coupe and cabrio will be coded, F32 & F33 respectively.

The bonnet shut line at the front looks a bit cheap.
I don't understand this comment. Someone else wrote the same thing in a post about 6 months ago. Why does it look cheap?

anyone that spends 50k on a 3 series needs help

think of all the other contenders in a 50k budget

BMW M3 at just over 50K
This again? It's not a £50k car it's a £37k car with £13k of options stuffed in it to woo the press.

An M3 with the same level of kit wont be £50k.
