What it needs is a railway from there to Sheffield. Preferably a nice electrified one that can take HGV roll ons.
Would be pretty expensive though, what with all that tunnelling required. wink

Dozy greenies on the better side of the hills keep calling for a road through that tunnel. They have clearly never looked at the width of a railway tunnel.

Blimey, I breezed through Tintwistle at 17.15 this afternoon (Tuesday), then made it up Mottram hill with only a short delay.

What went wrong there, then...? hehe
