Deposit on a repo flat. 15 yr mortgages at stupidly low rates at the moment.

Sell in 15 yrs to buy yourself a new supercar, or use the rent to enhance your lifestyle smile

I'd go for the 7, but not the Panda. Get an older car and then put whatevers left on the mortgage.

Conversely I know of 2 other owners who all got rid of theirs in shorter times than I did (I had mine 5 months)....mine had just 700 miles on the clock when I picked it up so was effectively 'new'. It looked great and sounded awesome but was slow, thirsty, handled like a boat (all relatively) and was very poorly put together with rubbish reliability (it went back to the dealer twice a month each month!), with woeful throttle lag, suspension issues, faulty electrics etc......should have been a much better car and was utterly disappointing frown
Oh dear. Mortgage and a snotter it is for me then. frown

I did this.

Cheap insurance, cheap to tax(ish) and reasonable parts and servicing, well reasonable for a car that cost 100k new.

It has a noisy exhaust and sounds like an old Formula 1 car when you hoof it through the gears. Everybody also thinks you are mad for buying a potential ticking time bomb of old British built sports car goodness!

Mine would be £20-£30K some flavour of Pork, £2-3K on a run around & the rest against the Credit cards etc. Mortgage wouldn't make sense as the interest rate is so low!

A Sagaris while there are still some at that price, guaranteed investment, it will be worth 50k in a few years.

Ideally, I'd buy a new bike, probably summat like a BMW F800 or Honda VFR800 and chuck some decent optional extras in then pocket the change. If a car had to be purchased it would be summat like a Jazz and pocket the change from the car and new bike.

3 Or you could be odd and buy a brand new panda

with change for a wee brand new toy
Or you could buy either of the first two AND have change for a Caterham, too.

Let's not forget £40k will get you an AM V8 Vantage.
Was about to post this. This is what I would get and then use it sparingly because running the damn thing is still gonna cost a fortune.
