I have never crashed a bike and got into cars as a result of some woman (my ex') telling bikes are more dangerous than cars. Ten years on various bikes without a single collision (a few (dozen) near misses mind you) one collision per year in various cars.
200+mph bike fully comp' £250 excess - £186 a year with protected full no-claims.
999cc Fiat Panda (four speed so barely capable of 90 mph) fully comp' £250 excess - £1,100 a year due to no fault claims over the last five years, two years NCB.

I can see why young drivers premiums are that high as most pepole I know have had some form of accident by the time they are 21. Driving tests are too easy to pass IMO
