Crash Age: 18.
Current Car: A house frown. New car on the way soon.
Your First Car: W-reg Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec
Crashed Car: W-reg Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec
Reason: Rear-ended whilst waiting at a level crossing. It was a bright, sunny day and my brake lights were illuminated. Had to sit and wait for the bang!
Who was at fault (be honest!): The other bloke: he had fallen asleep after working a night shift. He was on his way home.

The trend is young male drivers are at a high risk of crashing. Tends not to be their fault, but their lack of experience reading other drivers leaves them susceptible to being driven into by other drivers paying less attention for people driving enthusiastically.

I can see why young drivers premiums are that high as most pepole I know have had some form of accident by the time they are 21.
This, the statistic I heard a few years ago but probably still hold true is a newly qualified driver has a 50% chance of being involved in a crash per year for the first two years of driving.
