Crashed Car: W-reg Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec
Reason: Rear-ended whilst waiting at a level crossing. Could see the Clio behind approaching and not slowing, but I had nowhere to go - stopped bus to my right and woman with pram on the pavement to my left. It was a bright, sunny day and my brake lights were illuminated. Had to sit and wait for the bang!
Who was at fault (be honest!): The other bloke: he had fallen asleep after working a night shift. He was on his way home.
Length with licence:8 years.

I can see why young drivers premiums are that high as most pepole I know have had some form of accident by the time they are 21.
This, the statistic I heard a few years ago but probably still hold true is a newly qualified driver has a 50% chance of being involved in a crash per year for the first two years of driving.Current Age: 20.

Current Car: Audi A6 and a crumpled MR2.
Your First Car: MR2
Crashed Car: MR2
Reason: Lost back end, recovered it, then front end went, flipped twice and ended upside down in a ditch. Roads were apparently very slippery, mud around too.
Who was at fault (be honest!): I guess me but I wasn't speeding and unless I could have seen anything on the road would have approached the corner in the same way.

Current Car: Peugeot 106 independence (communist spec, no power steering, no abs, no ncap rating)
First Car: see above (same car for 5 and half years - not much on it to break I guess).
Length of Licence: 5 and half years.
NO CRASHES
trouble is I must of paid the value of the car, counting what it was worth each year, at least 5 times over in insurance money.
