Urm it does have a two stage cut of aids and how fast do you go on public roads not to get kicks with the aids turned on?
Only if you class on & off as 2-stage - it's not as 'complicated' as the system in the M3 or non-M Z4 so there's no 'intermediate' setting wink

You can be gently accelerating on a bumpy road from 10mph-30mph and the DSC light will flicker on the dash. If I'm on a Welsh hoon then I see it quite a lot as the car tries to ride out bumps.
Ah..... i've never left my finger on the button to see if it went further just assumed it did.... sorry

Alpina doesn't have an lsd, just an open diff, and is seriously lacking in the handling department vs the m

Hey pipe down you biggrin, I assumed if a vinalla z4 had it then logically why wouldn't they use the same system on the M.....

Who cares.. it is far more exclusive :-)
Actually apart from the LSD I prefer the Alpina feel, better for everyday, maybe not quite so harsh as for the track.
Seeing as mine is mostly an every day driver, that suits me fine.

The alpina is a great car, but contrary to the claims earlier in the thread i think there is a big gap between it and the M in performance terms. It really needs an lsd in my opinion.

And the M makes a great daily hack too - almost clocked 25k miles on mine on the commute

All this talk of the Z4M is really making me miss mine. Especially with the sunshine we have today. frown

From this profile, it's just perfect.
