Interesting cars you never knew existed?

Come on! What is it with Ronin? It's got one, rather meh car chase it and the rest of the film is Euro B-movie, at best.
Most over-rated film ever? Probably not, but possibly on PH
Go rent it, you might love it, but it doesn't deserve the praise it gets and for me belongs in the same category as "All proper Pistonheads must have owned an Alfa" - Another Clarkson peddled nonsense.

Couldn't agree more. It's like Bullett- a great car chase wrapped in a "meh" film. I've watched it once and have no desire to see it again. In contrst Grand Prix, Le Mans and C'etat Un Rendezvous are in heavy rotation on my DVD player. Most over-rated film ever? Probably not, but possibly on PH

Back to the topic- I spend a long evening telling a work colleague how his mate must have built a 309GTI 16V as Peugeot didn't make them. Turns out they did, they just didn't sell them over here.

it's got TWO car chases, several cool shoot outs, Sean Bean being a dick and Robert De Niro and Jean Reno being cool
and C'etat un rendevous? 10 minute film of a bloke driving reasonably quickly through deserted streets with dubbed on sound? ok to see once, but that's it
It took me a while to find out about the Buick Grand National GNX. Had I seen one before a year or so ago, I would have thought it was either aftermarket modified or just another American 80s all-show-no-go "performance" car.
It really wasn't- 276 "official" horsepower, but presumably quite a lot more given that it hit 60 in 4.7 seconds. For a Buick, in 1987...

Until I saw Rowan Atkinson on Top Gear I had no idea of the existence of the V16 Rolls Royce Phantom, it saddens me that the concept never made it into production but it pleases me that the car is effectively under engined with the V12 as the car went into production still able to take the 16cyl engine if needed.
Things like this still need to me made IMHO
