I saw an Up! on the road the other day with an old bid at the wheel, trade plates etc, I did actually remark the car looked quite cool, well, it would when the rest of the electric cars apart from the Tesla and Fisker look like dog mess.

Watch out for the one that looks a bit gay, the Up RS
LOL they already have this planned. The Up GT unfortunately. But it sounds like a right basket of fun.

The Ad campaign is referring to when those crazes died, hence the cross next to the year.

That is kind of the point, that this car will kill the big car craze.

My dad pointed out the Yorkshire connection a while ago to me, It is indeed amusing!

Oh and I want that Pickup photoshop boxedin

Bored at work...I've got an RSS feed from a few of the US car websites (work for a US automotive supplier).

To be fair, the previous article was about the F12... :honestguv:
How do you feel about the car industry, do you feel any anger or dissapointment relating to their manufacturer. What would you like change?.

110bhp haha it's because I wrote 115 first then went to check the stats and it was 110. Just missed the 0.

I bet you could still have fun with 11 hp laugh

Have you noticed everything in the ad is wrong?

Big bathing suits 1946? Try the 20s!
Big sideburns 1980? 70s, surely!?
Big boomboxes 1995? Try 1985!
Pong on games consoles 1985? Try late 70s!
Big encyclopedia 2001 - surely everybody was on the internet by then?
Yeah I couldn't believe the screw-up. I thought BMW's choice of song for the new 3-series was ad was dumb but this really moves things onto a new level.

I was a teenager in 1995 and you'd look like a right moran walking round with a boombox on your shoulder. Everybody had tape walkmans, or some cases a CD walkman.

CD-ROM encyclopedias had practically killed off the encyclopedia sets by the mid/late 90s.

Indeed, unfortunately I suppose they have just picked the date certain things finally went out of production, even if they had been irrelevant for years. If not, they just fked up.

Someone in VW marketing is going brand crazy...they're more proposing a X Up!, a Winter Up!, a Cargo Up! and a Swiss Up! !

...which are all crying out for the 'not sure if serious' meme...has someone at VW spiked the water with strong drugs?

:muses: Wonder if Swiss Tony would drive that last one...
