How strange. Does the date marker mean that little to the industry that leasing companies don't care about the having the later one?
Pretty much. Different leasing companies vary of course, but most stipulate that the car must be registered on the later plate if it's within 3 days of new registration, otherwise do as you please.Plates can be allocated back and forth - prior to first registration and licencing only. Once it's registered, that's it - barring some very rare and exceptional conditions where a new vehicle can be "de-registered", used to be a limit of 14 days for that.

This morning, a mahoosive Mercedes R Class, doing 30 in an NSL down some country lanes where you can still easily do 50
Are they clear, wide and straight? People do 50 (and more) in the narrow Cheshire back-lanes, but it causes issues when they meet like minded people coming the other way!I still haven't seen a 12 plate yet. Around our way there's usually a smattering of new cars from people who still change every 3 years regardless, but nothing this year.
