They're quite chavvy, but I've always succumbed to the idea of one.

Looking on Ebay finished listings ones in teh below format seem to get £250 to £300:
L9 VEY

For anyone in the know, what sort of ballpark would one with the number 1 then 3 letters get?

e.g. this plate?
1 GHT

Assuming that the letters had no great significance alone.

Depends on the letters involved.
A number 1 can be anything from £5k to £50k dependent on the popularity of the initials.

3 random letters always have the possibility of being somebody's initials so I guess the value of the plate depends on how common the letters are in names...

This kind of thing, it's worth whatever someone's willing to pay.

Seems like those initials mean something to a certain sector of society, so maybe you should aim for the pink pound?

5 to 50... Blimey! A totally different league to ones with an extra letter at the start.

Mr Reg - drop me a PM please - I can't seem to be able to PM you
