Happy Anniversary Car
Discussion
And it's a big one, not to go unnoticed...
Just under a year ago I won an Ebay Auction. The add said little, the photo's were poor, but there was the promise of a years ticket. 83,000 miles and some sort of Service History also...
A few days later (and new rear drums for the seller), I took the train to take ownership of my 2002 Volvo S80 2.4 SE. Not the most exciting car, but a proper barge.
On collection my worst fears were born. It looked tired, very tired and appeared to have been lived in by a tramp. No way could I live with a car looking like that - and amazed that they had not give it a quick once over. Still for £1,130 what could I expect!
11 Months later..
Previously having spent £500 a month on Lease Cars this is a revelation. It's cost no more than £500 in repairs and servicing, drives well, is quiet, very comfortable, and for a 2.4 turbo I think quite frugal.
450 Miles today - Easy!
Who needs expensive metal!
