Wow so that's what an MR2 looks like with out all the ill fitting spoilers, quad exhaust pipes, Blitz stickers and other Halfords Tat the Barry boys throw at these things.

Doesn't look too bad, but it's no boxster, not even close!

Time for an eye Test their Sanctum.

That really is a thing of beauty. Gorgeous. I can't wait for the new Cayman if it's designed anything like that as I prefer tin tops.

Porsche have finally produced a decent looking Boxster after many revisions.

Now make a coupe and I'd buy it instead of an M3.

I'd just got in to a 986 when they launched the 987. Now I've just swapped for a 987, they go and launch the 981! Roll on 7 years and no doubt I'll end up being one step behind again. laugh
That's because they release a new model every 7 years hehe

Maybe that's because the MR2 tried to look like a Boxster in the first place ? And failed.
Exactly, always find it amazing how short some peoples memories are...

I think the new Boxter looks great. Elegant, unfussy, and more aggressive than the previous model.

Until the new Cayman comes out (of which I have high hopes) that is the best looking Porsche in the range. Lovely looking car even when in silver! Should look great in Guards Red.

I'm no Porsche fan but this has me hooked. Absolutely stunning!

I've always said I'd wait a few years before getting a new car as my finance ends September 2013 and my car would then be mine 100%, but by then there should be some rather nice 2nd hand examples....all too tempting! biggrin

Lets hope Porsche do a better job with their electric power steering system in this than the road tests imply they have in the 991.

How big is it compared to rivals and the previous version just out of interest?

So its a bit more compact then with a longer wheelbase. It did look like it had grown in the pics, must be that it looks a little mor muscular! However, It may have been said before but it could have been made to look a bit less generic!

So 3cm longer than the old one, with shorter overhangs at both ends. That should bode well for its handling.

I would have one if it had 360BHp

the 2012 BHp is a joke for the Boxster, My outgoing Spyder weighs less and has more Bhp.

I work in the same place where the Boxster is made, and can confirm that it looks absolutely stunning in the flesh. Think that will be my next lease car.
