Looks like a Range Rover Sport that's been 'mansory'd' - although that would be grossly unfair on Mansory!

Errr, Excuse me for mentioning this but, it IS an SUV. What were you expecting something lithe, graceful, slippery and desirable? Aren't all SUV's horrible to look at and only appeal to a certain type of customer?

Anyway, just cos Dan says it's hideous and to let Bentley "'Ave it" everyone seems to be doing just that. you're all individuals aren't you? Well I'm not.

Good job Bentley. Brilliant piece of marketing design to appeal to where the money is in the world at the moment. Well done for coming up with a concept to secure jobs at Crewe and all the sub-contractors that supply them. I couldn't think of anything better to be in cruising down the Kensington High Street or through Cheadle and Didsborough. I like it and would buy one out of my weeks wages from the Premiership thanks.

Except, I'm not a footballer, I'm middle aged and boring and a grumpy old man so my opinion doesn't count. In fact, as a styling exercise to gauge public opinion, do you seriously think Bentley are going to take any notice of you, me or indeed Dan?

I'll buck the trend here, I think it looks amazing. I'd love one. Not totally keen on the lower jet engine-alike vents or whatever they are, but overall it's very nice.
I'm in agreement, it looks far more interesting than any current super-size 4x4s
Sorry chaps, missed these two from my post earlier. I agree with you. Seems like everybody else on here is doing exactly as Dan asked them to do . . . .

Oh that's why everyone thinks it's terrible, the Ministry of Truth told us to think that! You have to be mentally impaired to think that BOS is a successful exercise in automobile design.

Er, probably, given we are the public. And a sample such as this is probably representative of the consensus of every sane UK-dwelling human.

As mentioned I think it's a shame Bentley seem to be catering directly to the Premier League, I'm only 23 so not getting misty-eyed and nostalgic over the Bentley's of yesteryear, but I do see it being damaging to the brand image. Even makes VAG look reckless and misguided in my eyes.

Nice to see those braille screens and keyboards are getting onto the market. But really Tankman if you could see it you'd agree it's pretty awful. How's the dog?

Oh no, now we have the must disagree with the PH editor bandwagon.

I'm afraid I don't care what the editor says either way. That's one ugly looking car, and not in an imposing way.

It looks like it has a dinner service strapped to the front of it.

I like the other Bentley designs at the moment as well.

Not quite. Making a coupé-like leads you to the X6. But an SUV can be well-proportioned and impressive. The full-fat Range Rover is an example of something that can be pleasing to the eye but not at all lithe.

I know this might be hard to believe... but I'm saying it's ugly because I think it's ugly. Just because I share a particular opinion with the masses doesn't automatically make me a sheep. If I were to share all of my opinions with the masses, you might have a point. In fact, people who deliberately court the wacky and unpopular without questioning it are equally unoriginal in my book. (For clarity and to avoid accidental offence- this isn't a pop at you, Tankman- you've articulated your thoughts well and I hope this reply just comes across as friendly conversation.) smile

Not one bit. But that doesn't stop us from having opinions on these notice-boards of any other expensive car we can't buy. And if the masses dislike a car, there's a good chance the higher end will be equally put off.

Bentley Continental GT style body shaping over the rear wheel arches and rear passenger doors. Horrible alloys, front lights have eye lashes. Must be targeting the WAGs for the school run.

I think that if viewed from directly perpendicular to the front, so you can't see the jet engines, it's not too bad. Apart from the alloys, which in my humble opinion are terrible. Remember it is a concept though. The interior is ok if you like that sort of style.

Agreed, the vast majority of SUV's seem to be "driven" & "parked" by R Soles.
This Bentley will probably carry on the tradition.
Good News if it's Made in UK. But I suspect it'll be a trim option on the Slovakian or Chinese production line.

Totally agree. The comments on this forum confirm that we are not the target market for this vehicle.

Instead, they have realised that they must satisfy the demand in Asia and the Middle East. Hopefully they will love it and keep Bentley growing.
