This...

I also like the fact they have removed the boot spoiler and made it look more discret than a factory one.

That is super impressive. It says a lot for the general ignorance on this board that it has received so few replies.

No, it's just not that interesting outside people who have a GTR.
An LSx with a couple of turbos would make in excess of that quite easily..for less than 20k.

1600hp at the wheels and 8 seconds in the 1/4 for less than 20k? I doubt it.

Then immediately fall apart LOL!

The SVM car did 218mph at RAF Marham this weekend in the wet, and I mean WET!

ok, slightly more than 20k for 8 sec. But how much did the GTR cost? I know an old supercharged Granada that goes as fast as that!

A load of money, no doubt, and there are undoubtedly car's that'll beat it over the 1.4 that have been built for lots less. Hard to make such comparisons though really - the GTR in question appears to be a nearly new usable road car that'll run 8's. I doubt the owner is a dyed in the wool drag racer.

It's a flagship development car for a major tuning company, do you really expect them to buy an old Ford Cortina stick an LS lump in it with turbo from scania and say to the world look at this guys it's brilliant and only cost 900!!!

I really don't understand some people's thought process?

Not really.Sadly, America invented drag racing and they have lots of very reliable, high power engines for us to use. The GMPP LSx was built with 2000hp in mind. I doubt the GTR was. Still a good car though.

Yes, it's very impressive from a GTR but I'd still find the Cortina more interesting.

Off topic maybe, but can anyone else remember when the GTR was released they had claimed that the ECU's etc would all be locked and it would stop tuners etc building big power versions. Everyone thought it would be the end of tuning nissans. I guess not hehe
