Can any one think of any? I'm talking production cars here.

Aside from kit cars. I can only think of two! I must be forgetting someone obvious surely?

I'll start the ball roling...
Morgan.
Mclaren.

I believe even Aston Martin is part owned by Ford and a Kuwaiti investment company.

I thought Mclaren was at least partly owned by Qataris these days? I may be mistaken.

What about Ariel?

Not exclusively - they sell fully-built cars too : http://www.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/SErange/spor...

Hadn't thought of Noble..Not sure though.
Then I thought of AC, but find they're owned by a holding company in Malta.

Let's say I wanted to own a nice car that was built in britain, by a 100% British owned company.
I'm struggling here...

I would guess most kit car manufacturers will do if you pay them enough, and plenty offer factory built options, but to my knowledge all Westfield models are available as kits. Caterham would be a better example as they produce some models which aren't available as kits (CSR and possibly the R500).

OT, we could Ariel to the list.

Bristol owned by Kamkorp, owned by a British based Indian Businessman.

Ascari - owner is Dutch
Marcos - owned by a Canadian
Bristol - not actually building anything right now and the parent holding company is British-Swiss and owned by an Indian.

When talking about the world's biggest companies expressions like "British owned" have very little meaning.

Aston Martin aren't 100% British, Ford still own a bit and the Kuwaitis are involved I think but I was under the impression they were majority British owned, although that's not good enough for OP, finding a 100% British company is difficult in this globalised world. Ginetta a good shout though I reckon.

Holding and limited companies both registered in the UK and headquarters are in the UK. Limited companies are a legal entity in their own right, I thought it was the nationality of the company you were concerned about, not the nationality of the shareholder(s).

I suppose in that case you'd discount TVR as well.
