I am generally not a fan of Porsches but I want this car very much indeed. It looks fantastic, The wheels are excellent too, I personally like big wheels on a car, people complain when they don't fill arches and complain when they do.

So a big thumbs up from me.

I agree on the electronic handbrake thing. Even though I haven't driven a car with one, it just seems idiotic.

You gorgeous thing. It's come a long way since my 99 S, and now I want to own another. This one to be precise.

P.S. Why can't Porsche stop vertical smears on the windows? Every time you lower a window in a modern Porsche, there they are. Annoying for those affected by OCD tendencies.
It's not only you! I kept focusing on the smeary windows, it also happens on my s2000 so I always have my window down!

Am really liking these vids, informative and to the point. Keep them coming.
P.s I would love to see group tests of current cars I.e take the most common "what car threads" and test the contenders back to back.

No it doesn't.
+1

Seems to be a great all rounder at vaguely sensible money.
i just showed my OH the side on picture without telling her what it was and asked if it was a manly car

she said "its a cute girly car, thats my old MR2 is init?" (she had a red one for 3 years)

Not surprised by Chris' comments regards the electric steering taking away feedback for the driver. I wouldn't like that and frankly I think its an un-Porsche thing to do.

Chris mentioned they fit it for eco reasons? is it much lighter than a powered pump?

Loving that Boxster. Same performance as my ancient 928GT. I would never have expected that from a Boxster. Ticks all my boxes too and I couldn't give a monkey about the image.. Strangely enough neither does the Monkey thumbup

Sorry Chris hehe Great report as ever

Fantastic video, this is what I think Topgear should be like though I accept it would lose them viewing figures.

The new Boxster really is in a league of it's own. I could never get over the styling of the previous generations but they have finally made the front look different to the back. Ignoring the idiotic comments about MR2s and "for the same money you could buy a 2nd hand..." which blight these threads, I think Porsche are onto a big winner.

Another cracking vid!
It looks great now the boxster - would be nice to see it in white. I think it would suit the lines of the car

I'm afraid I have to agree with comments about the aesthetic similarities to an MR2 spider. The headlamp graphic, although better proportioned than the Toyota effort, is almost identical in profile, as is the treatment of the rear flank intakes. Much as I try, I can't get past this horific emasculating visual link.

Huge shame. I imagine there'll be large dent in one of the floors in Zell am See at the very spot where the clanger landed.

Which came first the boxster or the MK3 MR2?

Really like the look of that, and an excellent video aswell. The rear looks so right and having heard a 991 on the road the other day, if this sounds the same then it will be a winner.
