Flat tyre after recent refurb - Linked?
Discussion
All,
Advice appreciated! I had the alloys on my BMW M3 (E46) refurbed a few weeks ago. I had a flat on Tuesday and yesterday went to get what I assumed was a puncture swapped for a new tyre. The fitters could not see any damaged and told me the valve was leaking. They repaired this FOC and off I went. This morning the tyre is flat again.
I guess the next step is to try a new tyre anyway and see if that holds pressure, so I am off to the garage again as soon as they open. However it occurred to me that if the tyre is OK and the valve has been changed could the alloy be leaking? Given it is a few weeks after the refurb with no problem I guess it is unlikely there is any link.
Anyone more knowledgeable than I care to offer an opinion/advice?
Can a leaking allow be repaired? Anyone with the same wheel had experience?
Thanks in advance.

It was a full refurb tyre off. Off to tyre place in a few minutes but will try the bath test if I have no joy with them.
Normally I can work from home if something like this happens, sods law its a day I need to be somewhere! Must get a spare wheel/tyre to stick in the garage for emergencies.
