On phone atm so can't link. There's a huge multipage thread somewhere in the lounge. I've got the small square one with a separate rearview camera. Will post up a link later.

That's the one, and the same seller.

Got it quickly as well.

Works fine, video is decent quality. You'll need a class 10 microsd, none supplied. Instructions are crap and it comes set to Chinese so finding the language menu item is a bit of a mission!

Works well though. Only slight annoyance is the button for saving the vid to the special protected area always seems to save the one after the one you want... Not that big an issue though. Still tempted to try to extend the wires to the camera itself and run with the main box and wires hidden away a bit more!

The first one looks the same but the rear view cam looks different. I was told to be careful who you bought from as there were non 720p fakes around, some suspiciously cheap. The second camera looks nice but doesn't have a separate rear view cam so would be limited by what you could record.

It does look different
looking at the specs they both say external lens pixels 720x480
i.e. not HD

I've got a Blackvue DR300, not HD but performs reasonably well.

Spotted a West Midlands or more likely a West Mercia response Insignia today.

What looked very much like a Roadhawk mounted below the interior mirror hanging off a screen suction mount complete with what appeared to be a highly technical rubber band steady.

Maybe cutbacks mean no more Provida.

Rear cameras are VGA only, main cam is 720p. I did hear that some of them had VGA main cams too, but upscaled to 720p. Bit of a gamble really, so I bought from a buyer somebody else on here had used.

By using a higher capacity TF card, you can prevent overwriting from becoming an issue.

Mine is small at 1GiB so itll only record a rlling 30 minutes or so, which suits me. If I wanted to be sure that a days journey wasnt going to be overwritten then Id be looking at a substantially larger card.

If you have a 16GiB Transflash card then itll be eight hours untill what youve just seen will be erased.

They may do, but Im not sure that Im geting your point. I used a 16GiB card in my example because eight hours is more than enough and because 16GiB seems to be the current costtongue outrice sweet spot.
