The renault zoe an Ev for 13,650 pounds but with the rub of that is batteries not included as you also have to pay 70 pounds a month to lease the battery

So what are your thoughts on this as I am almost tempted to go for it due to my utter hatred of petrol stations

Yes i know that there are only 4 people in the UK that have a driveway and commute of less then 500miles a day and for 14grand you would be much better off with a almost completely fked 15 year old BMW

14k is a lot to spend on something that's just going to get you to work and back.

14k is a lot to spend on something that's just going to get you halfway to work.

Stop these crazy thoughts. Buy a nearly new 1.2 Fiesta or something.
An electric Renault...the horror.

Seems massively cheaper than the other electric options out there that I've heard about IIRC (isn't the Leaf 25K or so after the rebate but probably bigger), so factor in the 70/month battery thing and still doesn't seem too bad if electric is the way you want to go.......

To slow for me as i have 20 miles of dual carriageway to work where the 45mph top speed got get kind of interesting

For those in the south east dual carriageways up here tend t0 travel at about 70mph all the time unlike the ones in south east that are 90mph or 0.9 mph but never in-between
