I'm sorry guys.. but are we all missing something here? Do Peugeots have a certain thing which makes them brilliant that we're all missing out on or is this guy just plain BONKERS for buying 23 PEUGEOTS in the last 20 years. For some odd reason I think everyone will agree it's the latter.
You have to really love those fantastic electronics to spend that kind of dough.

Proof, if ever it were needed, that there is no upside to paying your own money for a Peugeot. Or indeed 250 grand's worth of Peugeots....

The guy obviously likes his Peugeots, feels that the dealer looks after him and gets a little recognition for his loyalty. Although not PH, it's a nice story.

Go ahead and question his taste/logic/common sense etc but I say good luck to the customer and the dealer.

Makes a change from the "I hate my dealer" stories.

The dealer doesn't need any more luck with that nugget living down the road! The poor guy does, hopefully his problem will be adressed soon!

They gave him an overnight test drive?!!

Why would anyone think it's a good press story?

yes

The dealer could have got away with not giving him any reward apart from the usual cup of coffee that he gets when he takes a car in for its annual service. The customer likes Peugeots and he now gets to borrow the top of the range one for the weekend plus the gift vouchers.

Not a great loyalty reward, however quite a few people's maths are off here.

He's obviously bought £250k worth of cars over the years, but he hasn't actually lost £250k. He will of course have traded in or sold a lot of the cars for some (albeit massively depreciated) worth.

How did this story get out? Did Peugeot press release their pathetic Weekend in an RCZ and a few gift tokens.
They could at least have given him a go in the EX1 or SR1 (assuming they are runners). Or maybe a 205 T16.
