That isn't brand loyalty. That's density.

Well, with this guy splashing his around Peugeot can be sure they'll never go bankrupt. If only SAAB had a guy like this *sigh*
The sad thing is they probably did due to the type of people who bought Saabs. Not enough though.

He says "My latest car is the beautiful Peugeot 508 Allure saloon...". A clue there.

would have been more apt to have given him a Mug!!
rofl Agreed.

All very bizarre. However RCZ is a very good car in 200GT guise - it just happens unfortunately to have been designed by Peugeot, but at least they are not built in France.

Not a great loyalty reward, however quite a few people's maths are off here.

He's obviously bought £250k worth of cars over the years, but he hasn't actually lost £250k. He will of course have traded in or sold a lot of the cars for some (albeit massively depreciated) worth.
This is true. Flawed calculation removed, but depreciation is typically 40-50% over the first year. So assuming he buys a new car every year which, given the 250k, seems reasonable...he's pissed away 40-50% of 250k, no?

This is just a case of a normal bloke who probably knows very little about cars and is certainly not an enthusiast who probably just wants a "reliable, modern car".

He probably would not trust anything more than a couple of years old and the local dealer has probably taken care of him.

For my sins, I grew up not too far away from Luton and this was a similar thing where we were but with Vauxhalls. My dad had a couple but there was a bloke down the road who would change his car every year for the latest griffin.

I'm sorry guys.. but are we all missing something here? Do Peugeots have a certain thing which makes them brilliant that we're all missing out on or is this guy just plain BONKERS for buying 23 PEUGEOTS in the last 20 years. For some odd reason I think everyone will agree it's the latter.
You have to really love those fantastic electronics to spend that kind of dough.
I'd more say he was bonkers for buying any Peugeots since 2002ish. Before then I can see why, but since?

unbelievable,

from the amount he's lost in depreciation, the fact its Peugeots, how he appears to be proud of his financial stupidity, to the laughable gesture by the dealership.

Lucky man. No surprise he is being paid a pension from the public purse, no one else would be able to blow such a lot of money on such a bland brand.

Sorry but I think I missed the point of this story, are they telling us that Peugeots are so bad that he has had 23 cars in 20 years which means he part ex/sells/scraps a car every 9.6 months. I think he should change manufacturer and maybe the car will last at least until the warranty runs out.

I remeber my uncle telling me about how every Friday he used to order a Dominoes. This went on for something like a year.
The last time (Unknowingly) he placed an order with them on the phone, they said as you've ordered xx many pizzas, this order is free.

He then came to a realization of the copious amounts of money he spent with them and never ordered from them again.

Hope this guy comes to the same realization!

Whenever I see a Peugeot. About 99% of them have the middle rear brake light stuck on. I just think "dodgy French electronics". Passed 3 206s on the M4 yesterday. All had the same problem.

What a crap 'thank you' from the dealer.

Rather like the woman local to me who retired from a department store after over 50 years loyal service & was given a leaving gift of gift vouchers for use in the store that she had just retired from!

What a bunch of lazy, mealy mouthed, idle tosses her work mates were/are.

I'd have told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine!!!
