Supercar repair bills are one thing, but I had to quote some poor sod £2.5K for a turbo on his old Land Cruiser today! God knows what his final bill will be. More than the car is worth I would imagine.

It would also be interesting to know the bill in relation to car value.

Ive spent well over 20k on my Alfa Spider that I bought for Eur7.5k in 2007. Its now worth about tuppence and it spat another e700 bill at me today frown Several bills have been for 2k+ over the years.

Spending 5k on a 200k supercar is frankly peanuts. Spending 25k on a Alfa Spider is probably certifiable hehe
I suppose the only saving grace is it's 20k on running costs and only 7k on depreciation smile

It could easily be 20k on running and 20k on depreciation...

I think it needs to be a cost relative to the current value of the car - otherwise this will just be full of Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo owners.

I had a bill of £10.5k on a £9k Alfa (combo of repairs, upgrades and service bits)

After my Ford C-Max 2.0 TDCI ate its own turbolader, and blew 5 liters of oil through the complete exhaust system, the bill came to €12K, including new motor, turbo and the complete exhaust system. Oh, and a hire car for six weeks, which was how long it took the Ford dealer to get the job finished. A week later, the power steering pump went tcensoreds up. Took another week in the workshop, costs unknown. Ford paid for everything luckily, but it put me off Fords for life. A mate of mine has a Mondeo with the same engine, his just runs and runs, I hope he has better luck than I had....

I know! I couldn't believe it either. By far the most expensive one I've ever come across.

Ask Andy74b! His Zonda bill may have been equally as impressive!
F40 respray was surprisingly reasonable! Zonda bill was a major expensive but I did upgrade alot of parts. When the mirrors cost £12k the bills add up quickly! Worth it though as the not really any cars as special as Pagani's these days.

F1 rebuild will make Zonda bill look value.

From a Zonda to a Micra in one easy step hehe

My worst was probably a quoted 1250 bill for a new exhaust, cat and re-MOT plus a few consumables using Renault genuine parts on my old Clio 182. I declined and went for a better quality aftermarket system instead, still cost over 800 notes though frown

Please tell me you are married...because the look on your wife's face when you told her you just spent £12k on a pair of mirrors for the car must have been priceless smile

Well if we're talking relative to the value of the car...

£5k on a respray on a £4.5k M3

£25k 6 months later on turning it into a track car.

hehe
