Honda Jazz?

The wifes grandparents had an A-class and I wasn't impressed one bit tbh.

Does she find getting in/out of vehicle easy? How big/old are the grand kids? How many doors do they need?

Would something like an Auto Toyota Rav4 3 door be any good? Compact to park, easy to see out, room inside and the extra height can make it easier to get in and out of.

A class, like all Mercs from 1990 onwards..... Designed for people who buy new cars every 12 months, the poor sods who buy them second hand can't afford the extortionate repair costs when they start going wrong (which they do, A lot....).

Jazz. They're popular because they do the job really well.

THIS. So much THIS ^^^^^^

Know 3 times couples with them, all used for bimbling around town, and kid carrying etc. Cheap, frugal, reliable, safe, comfy if you're not the BFG, and tree-hugging lentalists won't burn their bras either when you park outside the oxfam office

My 70y/o mum has a Touran, does the job well for her. Handy too as I can borrow it to supplement the Alhambra for kids parties! smile

I'd go small MPV or smallish soft roader.

Touran/S Max or Rav4/Suzuki Grand Vitara (very underrated) both fit the bill.

My misses has an A class and the only thing that's gone wrong with it in 2 years, is the Coil pack. I b*tch to change but £80, plus normal servicing and it's been great. (2002 year)

Great for access as well.

Jazz people, do they do:

a) a hybrid one?

and

b) a spec'd up one?

Just wondering out loud

Honda Jazz. Didn't this win the test on TopGear when they got their Mums in to review them.? Seem to only be driven by the older generation, and it is a Honda so will be as reliable as a wood burning stove
