So then! I don't know what i'm talking about?

Right, Nissan changed the front intakes, added rear brake ducts, put in a rear Carbon Fibre difuser, upped the size of the discs, cahnged the camber of the suspension, upped the bhp, torque, improved Cd, improved the tires (or dunlop did), changed the LC, upped the gear box so it was smoother and less noisy, improved the t/c system, 2013 BE gets a carbon rear spoiler, new lighter wheels, Carbon fibre stur in the engine bay and so on... That car is setup for 545bhp. Did Litchfield do any of that? I see it's STILL the 2008 front intake? The same rear wing, the same body work! You trying to tell me that, that rear spolier is suitable for 650bhp because I don't! Nissan changed it to a dry carbon one for the 2013 what would be needed for a 650bhp GTR? bigger? wider? certainly not the same wing!

Are you lot really that stupid to think that new suspension, engine tuning, discs, wheels, tires, is going to improve the car with out adding more down force? Or improving aero to suit the bhp torque curves you lot really are mad! To think that!

Nissan changed the car so much for just 60bhp you really think that adding ANOTHER 100bhp without changing the car is the right way to go?

Because I don't! Ues your brains instead of words!
I'm a design engineer for said OEM.

You are talking bks.

Moving away from his sw1000xg and his wise words on tuning and getting back on topic, new Liam Doran interview where he addresses the GT-R incident...

So he did a 7 minute lap of the 24 hour circuit? At least it sounds like that given that he says he came off the nordschleife and straight onto the GP circuit. Not bad considering he's only been round it 5 times, and then after a long straight the brakes cooled and stopped working. rolleyes

So when you don't use the brakes for a short while, they stop working?

I didn't know that.

Well, you learn something new every day. LOL

I think that nonsense has to be at the top of the list here - 'The racing drivers book of excuses -Vol 17'...

funny how this statement was not posted on here

'I worked a long time to get that car, it was my dream to have and now it’s gone'

People will debate anything trivial point but s lot of people live in their own fantasy world were they think they will never make a mistake no matter what car history or cars driven track record. Sometimes I look at the posts on here and think maybe this isn't the place for me..

Glad Liam's OK.

Glad it's on track and minuscule collateral damage. That's what td's are for isn't it.

Car/tech/mods issue? Surely only the driver knows what happened and what was the cause.

He should have been excluded from the meeting for that bit of mindless driving.

Amazingly he did not even get a penalty.

Shockingly bad attitute from driver and from event organiser for not giving biffa a penalty.

Glad that is now on you tube so others can see.

It's not the first time, I've seen him threaten another driver at Lydden on live Tv totally out of order behaviour.

Worth noting it's a good job they filled I'm the drainage channel on the approach to Chessons as last time be went up the grass like that he destroyed the car with a multiple barrel roll, but that bit of grass is still not supposed to be used.

Yeah, he took a couple of lunges down there during the day. His sponsors must really like him though, as you had no idea who was backing him by the A Final: the car looked a complete mess before the racing had even started.

If the contact had happened during the race there is always going to be a possibility it was a racing incident (even if its obvious he was out for payback), but the fact it happened after the flag was waved I don't see how it can be viewed as anything other than intentional (unless something occured in the car we don't know about).

Its hard to make out but, even with the patchy Google translation, I sense Lindefjell is very unhappy about events at Lydden:

http://avisenagder.no/index.php?page=vis_nyhet&amp...

Liam's OTT celebration after smashing his way to third in the A Final was a bit much as well. Made me laugh that he celebrated like an OTT American at coming third, whilst Foust (who took a very deserving win) had a bit of diginity.

EDIT: The most annoying thing is that, when he wasn't pulling these sorts of moves, Doran did some bloody excellent driving.
