To start the ball rolling I can say I have tried a number of products but the best one to date must be turtle wax platinum extra gloss. I have to say I was really pleased and shocked by the results. To be honest I wasn’t expecting the quality of finish but the question is simple. Is it the best or is there a better product out there.
But now after these comments I want to try some Dodo Juice :-/
This stuff by far!

Prima Banana Gloss liquid wax is good, about £12 bottle, masks holograms and minor swirls, downside is only lasts about 2 months before it needs re-applying.
Although I'm a Dodo Juice user too, I have some Banana Gloss too and the main plus point is that it goes off really quickly and you can use it in direct sunlight. Really effective for a quick once overMy favorite is dodo juice rainforest rub without a doubt.
Quite expensive initialy (tho not compared to some) and a pot has lasted me going on 2 yrs and numerous coatings/cars.
My second is Jeffs Werkstatt sealant and spray system - really easy to use/apply and glass like finish if your in a hurry or simply use the spray to top up.
I now use the werkstatt sealant followed by dodo juice then top up with the werkstatt spray.

I was recommmended collinite 476 so i use that, if its primarily for boats, and they are in water more than cars are, that'll do for me.
i do wonder though, is the polish my dad used to put on hios vauxhall viva any more advanced than the latest next best thing,
ps mt car is black so im going to put porboys black hole on it soon and re wax,
but im also hearing prima amigo is the best, so i suspect this will run and run

I use the Dodo Juice clay bar and lube, Autoglym super resin polish and then Autoglym HD wax. Can't fault it to be honest. It lasts ages, easy to apply and beads really well. And you can use it on all surfaces, I always do my windows with it and it's like they've just been Rain-X'ed.
Nothing beats the Brasso apllied with a Brillo pad.
I think people dont get the distinction between a polish and a wax, Autoglym super Resins is a Polish, which has some limited abrasive properties and Collonite is just a wax, no abrasive proerties so the paint has to be clean already as it wont remove anything, just kind of coat it.
So, my understanding is, wash it, start with T-Cut if its bad, Tar Remover on the tar coated bits, then use a Polish and finally wax once the paint is properly free of contamination, if the paint is really bad break out the thicker rubbing compounds and fine sandpaper, or am I wrong.

Clay bars are fantastic. If I am doing a deep clean, my method is:
I usually do that once or twice a year, just after winter and just before. I try to wash the car every week, wax every 3 or 4 weeks, and polish and wax every 2 months or so.
- Wash car
- Clay bar the entire car
- Wash car again
- Polish (AutoGlym Super Resin Polish)
- Seal (AutoGlum Extra Gloss Protection)
- 2 coats of AutoGlym High Definition Wax

Have a look into the use of clay bars. Makes an enormous difference (done it on four cars in my time), and really is an efficient way to refresh the paintwork without having to resort to machine polishing/wet sanding. IMO of course.I have largely been using Poorboys World Natty Paste Wax, I have the red limited one that smells of strawberries. Layered over Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Jet Trigger (which I can't recommend enough), it works a real treat. Last put some on the car in October. Washed the car only twice through winter, and its still beading away (well, until it got all dirty again).

I may have to invest in some of the Extra Gloss Protection. Aside from that that's pretty much my method. I do get lazy when it comes to washing over winter though, usually do it every 2 weeks. But give the car a good few layers of polish and wax around the end of October before the weather goes really shat.- Wash car

Some good products mentioned here.
A wax's job is to be a sacrificial layer to protect the paintwork and as such, I think the most durable are the best as wax adds very little to the overall finish. The finish comes from the claying and polishing stages, the wax protects that finish you have achieved.
I'm a big fan of the Collinite waxes, with 915 being my favourite. Another great product is the Finish Kare Hi Temp 1000p sealant and also Bilt Hamber's Autobalm.
All cheap but excellent. of the more expensive waxes, Swissvax's Best of Show is brilliant.
