Collinite 476S takes some beating, but then so does Dodo Juice Purple Haze on a dark car

Being on the stand next door at the Autosports show year before last not close enough for you biggrin - I picked up fresh stock there myself

I know they do a lot of shows during the year but as far as shop retail goes I guess Domster would be the one in the know

Never waxed it, polished it once, but it just doesn't seem worth it. The paintwork's in such poor condition anyway thanks to idiots in car parks and lorries on the A13 frown

Remind me again how Dodo Juice came about, my memory is a little hayze.

As for people wanting your money, everyone wants your money. Every person you have ever purchsed something off is making a profit by you buying it.

Which Carlack 68 product do you use?? Ive been looking for a new product recently, Ive got 2 red cars, a white car and a black car and would really like something for all of them. Only 2 of them are garages but the black and one red are always out in all weathers!!
Upto now we've used the 3 stage maguiars, using only stage one once per year, the stage 2 (polish) every month and the 3rd stage (wax) every other week but its not really lasted a decent time and the beading lasts about 3 seconds.
Use this to clean and seal and then this afterwards. With both of these products less is definitley more in fact they last that long they will become family heirlooms. wink

I used to be quite a Meguiar's fanboi but I have to admit I found their Gold Class paste somewhat hard work. Nice shine but not hugely durable. good reflections though!

Much to my surprise, the combination of AG Super Resin Polish followed by AG Extra Gloss produced very very decent results and lasted a lot better than the Meguiar's.

A fairly average wax can make a black car look brilliant. Lot harder to get impressive results on a white car imo.

Agreed - black does do that glossy thing pretty well. Getting that deep shine on lighter colours is harder;

Ah, Red Mist - another DJ favourite of mine - very handy if you need to make the car presentable on location after having driven a few hundred miles, too...

very true

but most work on a reasonable margin, some however attempt to fleece you for everything they can with the perception of an elite product and cool marketing, hence the funky name for a polish

If I thought that was the case with Dodo products I'd be bitterly dissappointed with the products and the company - luckily I know it's not the case and that they are trying to offer great quality products.

One of the major reasons dodo juice product is not in a a major motoring chain is that the chain would want far larger profit margins.

To do that the price would have to go up or the product cheapened down - lower quality components or changing the formulation is the easiest way to do that.

Or alternatively, some might just want to inject a bit of fun in a product segment crowded with stuffy 'upmarket' products aimed at the millionaire car collector who thinks a wax isn't worth knowing if it's not four figures for a pot... smile

I found that for a silver car Jeffs Werkstatt kit gave great results!

For the first time saw a real deep wet shine on a Silver car....

For my dull red Audi I just use Mer as I have lost the passion for it!

A collinite one I used still caused water to bead on the paint after 6 months, that was impressive.
