I think I will try DODO this year, but here is a pic of Meguiars NXT after first claying the car and polishing.

I will give another vote for Autoglym SRP and AG Hi Def wax. Seems to be pretty durable and still beads six months after the initial application.

I have also tried TW Ice Wax although the wax coating is not very durable at all it gets a 10/10 for ease of use. Can be used in direct sunlight on hot paint, goes on really easy, no residue and buffs easily too, great product if you are not massively into detailing and want a quick easy fix with decent initial results.

I've just used the faracla range of 4 stage produces. It took ages but I've not polished my ML since I got it and it's the first wash it's had since Xmas. I've decided it's too nice to call a daily hack and not to look after.
The first stage is almost like original G3 to remove any scratches, stage to a bit more like T cut, stage three is the polish - very easy to apply/remove and stage four is the wax - smells like strawberries!!
Good results

It's not my bald head!!

I use Dodo Juice Diamond white, then seal with autoglym extra gloss. Seems to last for a good while and gives awesome reflections etc. Car is clayed/machine polished with lime prime first. Works well on silver any way, on coloured metalics I've always liked carbrite butterwax it seems to give the colour more depth but still prepare and seal with lime prime and autoglym.
Extra Gloss Protection should go on first as its a sealant. It won't bond properly to the wax.

Personally I use Collinite 476/845 in the winter & the Dodo Juice range the rest of the time.

I am quite impressed with the meguiars nxt stuff tbh. Much better than the price suggests and easy to use too.

Recently have used poor boys glaze (black hole and the white one) and then a poorboys sealant on top. Really easy to use and supurb results. Can be used in the sunshine too which is nice as no one likes the grey do they.

I was going to buy some but that is the worst website I've ever visited.

Whoever thought that design was a good idea wants shooting.

I concur — trying to be far too clever.

The rigmarole you have to go through to try and find someone to buy the stuff from is ridiculous.

Dare I say wax is wax, the only thing I look for is ease of use and a pleasant smell is a plus. Have a garage full of part used products. They all make my car shine biggrin

Which Carlack 68 product do you use?? Ive been looking for a new product recently, Ive got 2 red cars, a white car and a black car and would really like something for all of them. Only 2 of them are garages but the black and one red are always out in all weathers!!
Upto now we've used the 3 stage maguiars, using only stage one once per year, the stage 2 (polish) every month and the 3rd stage (wax) every other week but its not really lasted a decent time and the beading lasts about 3 seconds.
Use this to clean and seal and then this afterwards. With both of these products less is definitley more in fact they last that long they will become family heirlooms. wink
I'll second this. Fantastic products. After using a few different waxes I used these last year. Did my car in July and it still has a hard gloss sheen. It's claimed to last up to a year and I don't doubt it - I've washed the car twice since I did it, most of the time the rain washes the dirt off. For me it's more about the paint protection than the looks, I don't care if the car gets filthy (not that it does) as I know it's protected underneath. You just have to remember to let the sealant cure for 15 minutes before buffing it off.

The Ice Wax I mentioned earlier has a really nice fruity/berry smell, you would think the stuff is drinkable it smells that nice.

Swissvax B.O.S smells devine and is quite easy to work with as long as you've prepared the paint properly.

Not cheap though at £200 for a 200ml tub.

95% prep of course but, once you have it waxed then a light spray and wipe with this poorboys spray & gloss gives a remarkably shiny finish in no time at all

Shhh - they can stay in their little world - I quite like the fact that this has covered waxes that the average petrol head can use easily and quickly without too much effort and expense biggrin
