For those who don't understand why....

Capacity, the road can hold more cars side by side so the traffic wont have as much effect down stream as one long queue does.

So if you fight the merge in turn rule you're making more traffic for others behind you.
Ah but you'll get through the roadworks quicker!!!

Generalisation...win?

I've found that almost all drivers are s, all over the country.

Actually scratch that, I've worked in retail, almost all people are s.

No you won't

You have to merge across at some point, and why when a lorry has blocked the right hand lane 1/2 mile from the roadworks does the traffic still queue from that point in the left lane?

This road in to Halifax is the only place I can remember seeing signs like this,

Merge in Turn

You still get people being an arse.

hat's how merge in turn works ...
I know. what I was trying to say was that the traffic has already come to a halt because nobody was obeying the merge in turn system, and the truck driver was just trying to stop it getting worse.

Unsuccessfully.
