OP, have you walked away from the deal and got your deposit back then?
No, I actually agreed to pay the deposit etc before the car arrived in return for a nice 3 Series M Sport Plus, the BMW iPhone Y Lead and Black Kidney grills however because the car didn't consign in time I still got all of the above and have the deposit sitting in my bank, not theirs smile

Worked out quite well in the end. Picking the car up this week if all goes to plan.

Ahh all good news, well done. 3 series not got you tempted over your 1?

If you went to the Sunday Service you'd have been drooling over 4 or 5 1Ms. Great bit of kit smile

After driving the 3 the only thing I wish I went for was iDrive, it's fantastic!

A mate of mine bought a used BMW from the local main dealer. A few weeks before the warranty was out he took the car back for some warranty work and on collection he was given a bill. They had put the sale through a couple of weeks early in order to meet their targets.

It took him a lot of time and hassle to get them to cancel the bill and when they did they told him it was as a gesture of goodwill. That pissed him off even more because they would not admit that they had been at fault!

Is that the all-controlling wheel in the centre console? I had a very long look over a new M3 a few weeks back. The quality of the thing just made me want to ebay the missus

It certainly is, controls the sat nav, music, phonebook etc etc. It really does 'just work'.

Yes I had a play with that on the M3. Once your head is in gear with it, it really does a smart job. beats a touch screen if you ask me.
