Mate wants to get his car remapped - he is going through the suppliers and came across r-tech.
They are advertising a Stage 1 remap at £200, but on phoning is told that the lowest price is £290???
Anyone had an R-tech remap done recently for the £200 - I'm wondering if he's being misinformed by the guy on the phone or whether the circumstances have changed as they've done a tie up with Revo?
R-Tech Website says:
VAG REMAP = AUDI –SEAT – SKODA – VW
Years 2003 - 2008 2.0TDI PD/ CR - 1.9TDI PD / 2.0TFSI & NA
Base Map = £99
Spec1 Performance = £200
Spec1 Custom Map = £290
Spec2 Custom Map = £350
Spec2+ HPFP TFSI = £390
SP3 Live Custom Map = £490 (bigger turbos)
DPF Mapping/ Hardware = £695
Thanks

A friend of mine got his Golf GTI 20vt mapped there, got a few bits thrown in, some form of lunch(your clutch)control etc, seems to have good reviews on other forums but if I were you I would ask the same question on the VAG part of this forum as R-TEC are VAG tuners and they may have been used by a few of the VAG PH guys.
The map my friend had on his motor didn't seem as smooth as say a REVO map but I have a feeling he asked for an aggressive map, which would explain his bald tires, 19mpg, destroyed clutch and hole in the bottom of his engine!
regards

The clutch 'lunch' control didn't do much good then? The map my friend had on his motor didn't seem as smooth as say a REVO map but I have a feeling he asked for an aggressive map, which would explain his bald tires, 19mpg, destroyed clutch and hole in the bottom of his engine!
