CMax - Cracking workhorse! We use it to lug the dogs around in and keep my MR2 for when it's just us. Cost a tad under 4K, never gone wrong in 2 years, returns 45mpg and pulls quite nicely. She's getting bored though, a change will be on the horizon this year I think.

Kia Picanto 1.0

Crap. or Krap seems more apt.

Still, she thinks it's better because it's newer and the paint is a nicer colour. Oh, and it has more doors which is obviously better too.

I may have had a hand in its original purchase, but she's had it for nearly 5 years now and loves it. Only an R8 would tempt her away, except we cant afford that!

Its a bloody good car in every way and the most reliable car I've ever come across. Only consumables required in all that time.

A real high point in Honda's car making history IMO.
Oh. I honestly assumed reference to the Dyson... getmecoat

Where cars are concerned my missus is strictly the A-to-B type.

Exhibit A:

I imagine the Dyson cleaner above is more exciting to drive.

I double-checked then because i could've so easily written that post.

Mine had a Kia Pic 1.0. A red one.

And it was grrrrrreat - as far as she was concerned - because it was brand new, had no miles on it, was bright red, and had 5 doors.

In fairness, it was mega-reliable and cost about £20 to fill up which lasted forver.

A brand new 5 door red Audi RS3 would be nice. A 1.0 Kia Pic though. Hmmm.

As a utility appliance its not bad: huge load space with the seats out, rubber floor can be hosed out etc.

But it only seats four and the 2.4 engine is a bit gutless and it guzzles fuel.

Sensible vs fun

Me: Pug 306 2.0 HDi. I travel 75miles on twisty A roads a day. frown

Her: Smart Roadster. Lowered, remapped, sports pack etc, and fun! Travels 20miles a day. now she wants a VX220 Turbo though.

My OH currently has a Corsa for commuting, but since there will no longer be a commute soon he's looking at Jag XJS's. Which I may or may not have had a hand in.

In my limited experience, most women have two soft tops.
