Custom my ride and pimp my ride are favourates of my son. They've done the old body/new car thing a few times with some success. Some TV star has an old Chevelle (I think) body running on a modern Corvette. They also did him a classic Dodge Charger body on a new Charger SRT which is one of the only cars I've actually liked from the series. They do tend to stick heavy hi-fi gubbins, TV screens and tacky bits all over their cars but the Charger did look nice.

I'm stateside now and bought a 2012 for Explorer and is FULLY running on Microsoft, With 3 LCD screens, you control EVERYTHING on this.

Some users have reported errors and couldn't turn on the aircon or turn down the radio volume.

I has been ok so far, just pisses me off the ocasional SYSTEM UPDATE!!!, hehe

Does this mean it'll crash unexpectedly for no real reason from time to time?
The display will doubtless say "your car has performed an illegal operation" and "do you want to send fault report". The more I think about it the less attractive the idea of Microsoft's involvement in the automotive business becomes. Utterly tasteless Max Power look but Love the '67 stang shape though.

10.You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off.
LOL... Erhm....
Hi Pascal,

I have a START pedal on all my cars, but admittedly, if I use it too quickly, or not quickly enough it will STOP the car, one way or another biggrin

Good idea in theory with the new running gear on an old body shell, however the lights and oversized wheels are horrible and the interior shouldn't have that much tech in it in my opinion, reminds me of the old "pimp my rides" when they would just put screens in places to fill gaps, think they have put them on mudflaps before, completely useless and they have torn apart two decent cars in the process

Will you have to talk to a random bloke in India for hours and him asking you 'have you tried starting it again sir'?, if something goes wrong?

I like the idea of dials displayed on screen and it's pretty inevitable this is the direction things are heading in.

As for the rest of it... I would certainly try to find a better use for a Mustang body... (goes off to daydream about sticking it on a suitable chassis + engine and designing a nice Linux powered carputer)

Oh dear Lord.

A fresh take on a classic vehicle is one thing, and I have a lot of respect for custom efforts in general... but that's truly an abomination.

Agree with the people who say old body on new car is great, pity the rest is crap!

They made a few similar things in the tv programme swapping body's that looked so much better

Presumably you can turn the neons off? Then, all you'd have to do is get rid of the massive wheels and rubber band tires, put on some 15" Cragar S/Ss and spray a proper paint job on it and you'd have a nice car.
