A TF dragster runs ENORMOUS fuel flow.. I can't quite put into words how crazy it is, so watch this 25 second video..

And realise that this is one cylinder (out of eight).. Then google Nitromethane (the fuel used in Top Fuel)..
Interesting vid. Not sure what it has to do with the quoted conversation though.

How much oil do top fuel cars have in them?

The video was to serve as evidence for the reason that top fuel engines run on the verge of hydraulicing..

Typically they carry about 16 litres of oil IIRC..

Rough estimate at how long that would burn for if the piston rings have gone and cylinder temps are high enough to ignite it?

What the actual fk :|

(googles nitromethane)

Double fks, I want one.
Only if you have a team that are capable of rebuilding the engine after each run.....

If you want to look at some other cool stuff google rocket dragsters. Very intresting bits of kit and they offer mental acceleration.

Possibly not, but I appreciated the youtube of the drag racer with the helmet cam. Shockingly impressive. That can't be too much different from standing in front of a speeding locomotive.
