Only 150ps, 300nm of torque and 0-60 in about 9 seconds, but damn, this is gorgeous.

Just a shame its £37 grand!

Still, it makes a change from what every manufacturer seems to do these days, and just do a facelift instead of a new model. Its also good to see electric technology coming on a bit (although personally i still think its pointless, as the power still comes from the plug which comes from the oil/coal etc, but that's another story).

Much better looking than a leaf.

Also, i've never even seen/heard of this car until just now, with the irony being i was searching the VX website for a VXR8...

Really? I've seen this car on pretty much every car magazine for over a year now! Maybe I need to get out more.

"Beautiful" and "gorgeous" are not words I would have chosen to describe that car's appearance, but hey, I have been blessed with the gift of vision tongue out

IMO, it is dated looking from the back, far too slab sided, and the front is way too try hard. Striking yes, beautiful or of any significant design merit? No.

Nonetheless, I simply cannot understand why the asking price is so high. It surely can't cost 17k to fit some batteries and electric motors to a conventional car, can it? Other than that, I do like the idea of a range extender for daily duties yes

I don't understand why all the manufacturers seem to think that if a car has an electric engine, they are duty-bound to give the car a whole new radical design. I don't remember this happening with diesel when the first DERVs appeared.

I don't care for the looks, but the tech is interesting enough that I'd overlook its appearance.

I really like it. Prefer it to the Volt, with the headlights-joining-foglights thing going on. Also the new Zafira has a similar front end.
I'd love to have one and 'do my bit', but not for £37k (£32 after a grant?).

Old enough to remember when a diesel car was very much a novelty.
